West Coast Swing
West Coast Swing is a partner dance derived from Lindy Hop. It is characterized by a distinctive elastic look that results from its basic extension-compression technique of partner connection, and is danced primarily in type of ‘slot’ on the dance floor. WCS is arguably the most diverse and flexible choice for social dancers due to its dance-ability with virtually any genre of music. The stylization of WCS will change based on whether the music is smooth blues, dynamic hip hop or anything in between.
